Ramona is a native Californian who received her undergraduate degree in Journalistic Communication and her graduate degree in Education. She has worked as a sales professional for over 25 years with Xerox Corporation, a leading Fortune 500 company. Married with a daughter, son, and stepson, Ramona was first inspired to write a children’s book when her daughter was a little girl, but didn’t get started until after her son was in grade school. Her vision was to create a story that would enable people of every age to become more accepting of what is natural in both foods and themselves. Her concern for children of all ages as well as the acknowledgement that too many of today’s children are diagnosed with high blood pressure, diabetes, and obesity led Ramona to develop a story that focused on children learning to make healthy choices. Grandma’s Brown Cookies is her first book.
